TYPES OF AWNING
The structure of the awnings consists of AlMgSi castings and extruded fittings with powder-coated surfaces, as well as galvanized steel closed sections and fasteners.
Blinds can be mounted on rafters, horizontal, vertical wall surfaces, or freestanding racks. When installing, it is important to choose the right fastening material for the building structure , in the case of scaffolding umbrellas, the right foundation. Therefore, we recommend that you use the help of our partners when fixing your awning.
Their wind capacity depends on size and positioning. Strong winds can easily bite into the textile surface and load the structure and anchorages in proportion to the speed of the wind and the surface. Awnings can withstand winds of 40-50 km/h on smaller sizes and winds of 35-40 km/h on larger sizes. We recommend ordering our awnings in wind-exposed areas equipped with motorized wind protection!
The tarpaulin must stand tight and give it a minimum slope of 13 degrees outwards so that the rainwater can flow off it. It is equally important in winter not to allow snow to be raised on the awning, as its weight can overload the structure undetected. Therefore, never leave your awning out in snowfall.
Specifics can always be said on site by the contractor. However, there are some rules that are generally true. The easiest way is to set up radio-controlled systems, because all its elements, like a general consumer, must be connected to the mains. Their operation is now a matter of programming. Wall switch systems require more electrical preparation, ask for the help of a specialist.
Positioning of sensors:
It is important that the sensors detect what the blinds do, so that they are not too far from the awning, but at the same time be properly exposed to wind, light, rain. Any electrical positions should therefore be constructed accordingly. The motors and controls must always be connected phased and in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications with standard, watertight, soluble outdoor joints. Indoor switches or controls must not be installed outdoors. Electrical installation must only be carried out by an authorised technician! If you experience any abnormalities during operation, contact the installer of the equipment.
